Dedications for New Facilities

Northwest Technology Center celebrated dedications for its new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) facilities on Monday, October 19, 2015.   The Fairview Campus located at 801 Vo-Tech Drive in Fairview held its dedication at 1pm.   The Alva Campus located at 1801 Eleventh Street in Alva held its dedication at 3pm.

The dedication ceremonies will include a ribbon cuttings and remarks from campus administrators and Dr. Marcie Mack, Director of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.   Light refreshments and building tours were available following the ceremony.  The public was invited to attend.

The new additions at both Alva and Fairview have a classroom space for BioMedical Sciences I and II, a classroom for Math courses, classroom and lab space for practical nursing, a reinforced room for shelter during storms and an enlarged student break area.

Dr. Marcie Mack, Director of the Oklahoma Department of CareerTech was on hand at the Alva and Fairview campuses of Northwest Technology Center (NWTC) for dedication of the new STEM facilities in each location.  Mack is shown here at the Fairview Building Dedication Ceremony where she commended the NWTC Board of Education for its commitment to providing STEM programs to high schools students.  Seated are NWTC Board Members (l to r) Dean Meyer, Butch Edingfield, Stan Kline and Dr. Carl Newton.

Large crowds were on hand for the Building Dedications at Northwest Technology Center in Alva and Fairview on Monday.  Dedications for the new STEM facilities were held on both the Alva and the Fairview campuses of Northwest Technology Center.  Pictured here is the crowd on the Alva campus.
