PLTW offers a first-of-its-kind summative assessment that measures both subject-matter knowledge and mastery of in-demand, transportable skills. The new EoC Assessment – available for the 2018-19 school year – is designed with insights and validation from a coalition of secondary educators, higher education representatives, and industry experts.
Using innovative items, the new EoC Assessment measures a broader range of knowledge, skills, and cognitive abilities, and delivers a dynamic experience that resembles the hands-on learning context of the PLTW classroom.
Test Dates
Students can take the 2018-2019 EoC Assessment from December 3, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
Tests
Within the PLTW Biomedical programs, the following courses offer an EoC Assessment:
- Principles of Biomedical Science – First semester of first year
- Human Body Systems – Second semester of first year
- Medical Interventions – First semester of second year
- Biomedical Innovation – Second semester of second year
