Assessments

Kuder’s online assessments aren’t meant to tell students what they should do or will be successful doing. Instead, they give students some focus about where to begin their search for career options.

Students are encouraged to take the following assessments:

  1. Kuder Career Interests Assessment: This assessment connects students top interests to career paths.  Students rate how much they would like or dislike each activity. When students are finished with the assessment, their highest interests will be matched with careers that they may enjoy. Upon completion of this assessment, a report is generated which lists five “Top Career Pathways” based on the students responses.  Students should click the “Print Report” button to create a PDF file (ask instructor for help) which will need to be saved to their Shared Google folder that the instructor has created for them.
  2. Kuder Skills Confidence Assessment: This tool assessed what students believe they are good at doing.  Students rate how confident they are that they can accomplish each activity. When they are finished, they review the skills they have and explore careers that need those skills.
  3. Super Work Values Inventory: Students rate how important work-related values are to them. When they are finished, their values will be matched with careers that they may enjoy.

After completing the assessments listed above, students may view the “My Assessment Results” page under the “My Assessments” section to view the results of each assessment.

Career Clusters and Career Fields

The results are represented within career fields and clusters.  There are 16 nationally recognized career clusters.  OkCareerGuide has created 6 career fields that includes all 16 of the career clusters. Color coding is used to make recognizing the career fields easier.
