Accounting Associate – Alva Campus


In this career option, students will work with the most up-to-date software and technology.  Students learn accounting applications and gain extensive hands on experience with accounting software used in industry.  Instruction includes preparation of financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and inventory. Upon completion of this career option, students will be eligible to take industry recognized certifications. Adult students have the opportunity to participate in the “on-the-job training program (OJT). Students in the OJT program work with businesses in the community to polish classroom skills and assist with office work and special projects. Students will also receive training in computer fundamentals, employability skills, human relations work skills, and telephone techniques. Students will prepare a portfolio which markets their skills by showcasing examples of their work, certifications, resume and other professional information.
