Health Careers Students Place at State Contest

Several NWTC students enrolled in Health Careers Certification placed at last week’s state HOSA contest. Riley Beeler, an Alva High School student placed third in the Researched Persuasive Speaking event and qualified for the HOSA national contest held in June.

Three Alva High school students placed 4th in the state HOSA contest in the Public Service Announcement, secondary division. They are (l to r) Nidhi Patel, Jentry Lancaster and Jesus Arizmendi. Savanna Eshelman of Cherokee placed fifth in the Medical Photography event.

All of these students were recognized on stage at the Oklahoma HOSA conference held last week in Norman. Brooke Meyer in the instructor for NWTC’s Health Career Certification program on the Alva campus.
