Digital Design – Fairview Campus

Northwest Technology Center’s Digital Design program prepares students for success in emerging graphic design environments. Students receive training to work for an individual company, self-employed or bidding on projects that clients have posted through online marketplaces. Students will learn to create, design and produce graphic design products. A variety of software packages are used to create both print and interactive materials.

The Digital Design course is unlike a traditional classroom setting because assignments are available online and self-paced. Students submit their work electronically to their instructor and the opportunity to print their work or post it online through social media or a digital portfolio. The course will prepare students to enter a variety of design industry careers. Self-paced learning combined with individualized and group instruction, hands-on training, and group critiques provide students with the basic skills necessary to begin a career in the exciting and rapidly growing field of graphic arts. Students will develop a resume and portfolio, both print and digital, to help market themselves upon completion of the course.

Industry certification exams are offered for Adobe Certified Professional, IC3 Digital Literacy Certification and Unity Certified Associate; giving students one more tool they can use on their resumé that is attractive to potential employers.
