They will also learn how to do general system diagnosis, learn theory and perform basic tests and then determine necessary action. The hours completed in this major are aligned with ASE\/NATEF standards, and ASE certification is recommended and industry recognized.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XozOyfTL6X0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Length of Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Automotive Technology is a 1 year, full-day program or a 2 year, half-day program for a total of 960\u00a0 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligible Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This program is open to secondary as well as post-secondary students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Certifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ASE Student Certification tests as well as State Competency Tests are available with this program.
