Student Cam Scholarship<\/strong> \u2013 Deadline January 20, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

StudentCam is C-SPAN\u2019s annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation. In this coming semiquincentennial year celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we are asking students in grades 6-12 to create a short (5:00-6:00 minute) video documentary on either a historical or contemporary topic that relates to the competition theme:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/em>America\u2019s 250th Anniversary\u201d Exploring the American Story through the Declaration of Independence
Students are asked to create a 5- to 6-minute documentary that explores the enduring impact<\/em> of the Declaration of Independence by examining:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) its influence on a key moment from America\u2019s 250-year history
\u2013 or \u2013
(2) how the values stated in the foundational document touch on a contemporary issue impacting you or your community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love Your Career Scholarship<\/strong> – September 10 and January 10 deadlines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those students who plan on attending college in Fall 2026, make note of the September 10, 2026 deadline.  Any student who will be enrolled in a college or University at the time of the next deadline (September 10) may apply. This scholarship is limited to students attending school in the 50 U.S. states. The scholarship is given twice a year (January 10 and September 10).  Please follow the essay and the submission requirements EXACTLY as outlined below to qualify for review. (Essays that ignore these requirements will be disqualified)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Essay Requirements
(A.I. generated essays are immediately disqualified!)
1) 1000 words or more (no more than 3000).
2) At the top of your essay, write your full name, phone number, email address and the name of the school you will be attending.
3) Outline at least 3 steps that you plan to take in the next year to start a path towards having a career that you love. As you think of these steps, consider some of these ideas; What are your passions that could be turned into a career? What are some ideas you have for a business based on things that you love and are skilled at? We want to hear unique, well thought out ideas. Make us believers. Make us excited. Make your essay stand out!
4) Interview a professional in the field that you are looking into and that has at least 3 years of experience in that field.
Ask them at least 3 of the following questions and include the questions and answers as part of your essay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7      What would be one important piece of advice for someone like me who is considering going into the field that you are in?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submission Requirements

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarship<\/strong> ~ Due January 31<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General  Program Guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OSDAR Scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, creed, or area of study.  The  applicant does not need to be a member of DAR to apply. The scholarship is to be considered a one-time award.    Recipients chosen are not eligible to re-apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All\ufeff applications\ufeff<\/a> must be submitted through an Oklahoma DAR chapter. The chapter does not need to endorse the applicant, but the application must be checked for completeness. Applicants may find chapter contact information on the Chapters by City page<\/a>. (Charlotte Hadwiger from NWTC is a local chapter member).\u2028\u2028NOTE:  Transcripts and financial information that are received by the chapter in a sealed envelope are not opened by the chapter. Those documents will be opened and reviewed by the state chairman and the judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an Oklahoma college or university in the fall semester preceding the award. \u2028An official transcript for this semester will be required\u2028\u2028NOTE:  High school seniors who are concurrently enrolled in an Oklahoma university or college for the fall semester of their senior year in high school are eligible to apply. They must also submit a transcript for their high school senior fall semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications are to be submitted in January following the fall semester of any given year. The awards will be made at the annual State Conference in the spring and the monies will be paid for the upcoming fall semester of that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants must furnish a completed application, financial need form, letters of recommendation, extra-curricular activity list, and a statement of academic goals along with the official transcript. ACT or SAT scores should be furnished if available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judging of applications will be done by individuals who are not members of DAR.  It is the responsibility of the\u2028Oklahoma Scholarship Chairman to select the judges in consultation with the OSDAR Board Scholarship Advisors appointed by the State Regent.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The application will be evaluated by the judges using weighted scoring in the following areas: completeness of\u2028application, neatness in preparation, financial need, extra-curricular activities, letters of recommendation, GPA, course of study, and well-defined academic goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scholarship Award will be paid directly to the Registrar\u2019s Office at the recipient\u2019s college or university following\u2028notification by the Registrar that the recipient has enrolled for the fall semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship ~ Due February 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund,\u201d is open to United States citizens, both men and women, single or married, irrespective of race, creed, or color. The age limit is between 18 and 35 years. Award amounts vary annually and range from $500 to $5,000 per recipient. At the discretion of the Committee, these may be awarded in quarterly installments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online application will ask the applicant to outline their ambitions and plans as well as submit no more than 6 examples of their paintings\/drawings for judging. Below are suggested subject categories. It is not necessary to provide something from each category:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otha Grimes ODCTE Scholarship ~ Local deadline is February 12, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otha Grimes \u2013 Francis Tuttle Memorial Scholarships information is available at  \u2013 https:\/\/oklahoma.gov\/careertech\/about\/foundation\/scholarships.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This scholarship is available to adult<\/em> students who are Oklahoma residents enrolled in a program at a Career and Technology Center. Applicants must submit applications online. Applicants must show need for assistance above grants, scholarships, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amount: Varies<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deadline: Each technology center district may impose its own deadline for its respective students. Students at the NWTC Alva Campus must have applications completed by February 11, 2026 unless additional time is granted by Mrs. Sonja Williams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to starting  the Application, students should download and complete the  Otha Grimes Worksheet<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For students:  Students should then download the Instructions<\/a> before completing the Application.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Enrollment Key for Northwest Tech students is wh4mpn and it is to be entered in the big box on the first page of CTYOU.org<\/a> labeled Enrollment Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information needed in the past included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All sources of financial aid income and scholarships. You may need to get this information from Mrs. Sonja Williams, Financial Aid Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The amount of tuition and fees for your program which is dependent on full time or part time status. Tuition and fees is listed on the NWTC website at https:\/\/nwtech.edu\/student-services\/financial-aid-tuition\/<\/a> or looking at the Cost of Attendance information<\/a>. Remember if you are a  full time student, you will divide the cost in half to get the cost for one semester. If you attend half day for two years, you will take the cost and divide by 4 to get the cost of one semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mileage to and from the Alva Campus. There will be 92 days of instruction in the Spring semester for all students except those in Practical Nursing.  Practical Nursing students need to use estimates from Mrs. Williams if you are not on the Alva campus part of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will have to calculate the number of miles you drive from home to the Alva Campus (1801 11th Street, Alva, OK) if you wish to submit mileage. Remember that is doubled if you drive to and from within a day. It is easiest to use Mapquest \u2013 https:\/\/www.mapquest.com\/directions<\/a> \u2013 to calculate this and then it is verified and not an estimate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will use the IRS Standard Mileage Rates for 2026 to calculate mileage which is currently $0.725 for 2026.  So you would take # of days x miles per day round trip x 0.725 to get the amount you are submitting for mileage (if you choose to include mileage).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Items you may consider including into the expenses section include daycare, rent, and any special clothing or equipment (but you must be able to provide proof of payment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Northwest Technology Center Foundation Student Scholarships ~ February 12, 2026 Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year a portion of the monies raised by the Foundation will go to support scholarships for deserving students. This financial assistance may include books, tuition, and other educational costs. The Foundation Scholarship committee assists in the establishment of scholarships and the selection of the recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adults only may apply for the Spring NWTC Foundation Scholarships. High school juniors or seniors and adults may apply for the Spring NWTC Foundation Scholarships.  To claim the scholarship, students will be required to show that they are incurring some type of educational expense for either the current semester or next summer or fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NWTC Foundation Scholarships for the Spring Semester are due  February 12, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some expenses that may be included in the calculation of need includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a full time student divide the cost listed in half because you just want the cost of one semester.  If you are a half day student divide the cost by 4 because you will have 4 semesters training for half day to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7      Mileage \u2013 The current standard mileage reimbursement rate is $0.725 per mile. To calculate the expected mileage cost for the Spring 2026 semester, take the total number of miles from your house to NWTC (1801 11th Street, Alva) and multiple times 2 for both to and from school and multiply by $0.725 times 92 days (number of days in Spring semester).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7      Industry certifications and licenses may be additional costs. Your instructor can tell you if you will have additional costs for certifications and licenses this semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7      Clothings, tools, etc. \u2013 If you have to purchase certain clothing, shoes, tools, etc for your program you may submit that cost; however, be sure you can include a receipt with the exact cost required for your program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Horatio Alger  Senior Scholarship ~ Due February 15, 2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Horatio Alger Association is seeking students who display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, and plan to pursue a bachelor\u2019s degree.  Students must have financial need and a determination to turn adversity into opportunity and pursue their American Dream. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility requirements for Seniors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in the United States<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ann Wade Scholarship ~ Due February 28, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oklahoma ASBO is proud to offer a one-time scholarship of $2,000 annually\u2014awarded as $1,000 per academic semester\u2014to a graduating high school senior pursuing a certified degree in education or a field that directly supports the educational system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This scholarship is established in honor of Ann Wade, whose unwavering dedication and service to the Association have made a lasting impact. Ann played a pivotal role in launching the Security Benefits Strength in Education Scholarship, and the board of directors believes this tribute reflects her tireless commitment to public education. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Ann for her many years of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility Criteria – To be considered, applicants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership with Oklahoma ASBO, Security Benefit is pleased to offer a one-time scholarship award of $2,000 annually\u2014distributed as $1,000 per academic semester\u2014to a graduating high school senior who plans to pursue a certified degree in education or a related field that directly supports the educational system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recipient will be selected by the OKASBO Board of Directors in collaboration with a Security Benefit associate, based on their submitted application materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility Criteria –  To be considered, applicants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7      Be a graduating high school senior<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7      Reside in the state of Oklahoma<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Northwest Tech (Alva and Fairview Campuses combined) can submit one Quadrant application and one child of a School Employee application for Northwest Technology Center.  OROS raised the scholarship awards to $4000.  The OROS Scholarship applications for seniors of member schools are now open. Email tfrascht@nwtech.edu<\/a> to get a MS Word version of the OROS Application.  Students at the Fairview campus may request assistance with the application from Mrs. Koehn, Fairview Career Center coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the Ragland Family Education Foundation Scholars Program is to provide financial assistance to Oklahoma high school graduates who would otherwise find it difficult to finance a college degree. The program is specifically focused on students who want to pursue a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).\u2028Be sure to read details as to which majors do not qualify for assistance.  Quoted from website: \u201cWhile we have high regard for these fields of study, our scholarship program is not intended for degree programs in the medical services field (including, but not limited to, veterinary medicine, nursing, dermatology, speech therapy, physical therapy and\/or nurse practitioners).  However, medical research fields such as biomedical chemistry are included.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants must be a student enrolled in an architectural drafting program and planning to continue study at the college\/postsecondary level. Must be an 11th or 12th grade high school student or college\/postsecondary student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Larry Rash grew up building with Legos in grade school. As a young adult, he studied drafting and architecture at D. Russell Lee Vocational School near Cincinnati, Ohio, where he also had a co-op position at Steed, Hammond and Paul Architects. He earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in architectural engineering technology from the University of Cincinnati in 1982 and gained his registration from the State of Wisconsin in 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Larry worked for Ryland Homes for over 20 years. In 2010, Larry joined Davis Bews Design Group (DBDG) in Tampa, Fla. At DBDG, Larry provided QA reviews of every plan before it left the office. He also researched building codes and provided quality feedback to drafters so they understood the \u201cwhy\u201d behind specific building requirements and regulations. Larry also regularly attended local builder association meetings and kept staff and clients up to date on changes and trends in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Larry enjoyed being challenged, and one of his favorite hobbies included visiting and photographing architectural sites in his spare time. His life passion was designing homes where families could live out their dreams. We know that he would be honored to sponsor young individuals pursuing careers in architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
