Scholarship Information<\/h2>\n

Organization of Rural Schools of Oklahoma Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Northwest Tech (Alva and Fairview Campuses combined) can submit one Quadrant application and one child of a School Employee application for Northwest Technology Center.\u00a0 OROS raised the scholarship awards to $2500.\u00a0 The OROS Scholarship applications for seniors of member schools are now available online at\u00a0https:\/\/www.orosok.org\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Applications must be submitted to Mrs. Tami Frascht at the Alva Campus by Monday, February 19<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 A committee from NWTC will select the two applications to be submitted from NWTC by Mr. Daren Slater.\u00a0 Applications must be typewritten or application will not be considered.\u00a0 To make the application process easier, we have added the option of downloading a form, filling it out on your computer, typing the essay on your computer, printing all of it.\u00a0 After printing it, the student needs to sign and attach a copy of the transcript before submitting to\u00a0Mrs. Tami Frascht at the Alva Campus or Mrs. Kay Koehn at the Fairview Campus.<\/p>\n

The form may be accessed on the OROS webpage at\u00a0https:\/\/www.orosok.<\/a>\u00a0 Click on the scholarship link on the left side of the home page and that will take you to the form options.\u00a0 Follow the instructions under each option.\u00a0 The board of directors have implemented the new rule that all applications must be typewritten.<\/p>\n

Applications must be submitted locally to be considered as an NWTC applicant for the scholarships\u2026. Do NOT mail your applications to OROS.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Frances Koop Parsons\/AT&T Pioneers Memorial Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education assists in the administration of the Frances Koop Parsons\/AT&T Pioneers Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship program was established through the\u00a0AT&T Pioneers to assist Oklahoma students in obtaining their educational goals. The recipients of this scholarship will receive a $1,000 cash award to be used at an eligible Oklahoma career technology center, two-year college, or four-year university. This scholarship is open to first-time freshmen<\/u> with at least a 3.0 high school GPA<\/u> and whose family income does not exceed $75,000<\/u>. The 2024-25 application is attached and must be postmarked on or before March 22, 2024. Applications without high school transcripts or income documentation will not be considered. <\/strong>Please submit scholarship applications by mail to the address provided on the application form – do not submit by email.\u00a0<\/strong>Please contact Linette McMurtrey, Scholarship Programs Coordinator, at lmcmurtrey@osrhe.edu<\/a> if you have any questions.<\/p>\n

OSIG (Oklahoma Schools Insurance Group) Scholarship<\/h3>\n

Northwest Technology Center students who wish to apply must download the PDF file at\u00a0https:\/\/osig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Scholarship-Application-Form.docx.pdf<\/a> and submit the document to Mrs. Frascht, NWTC Alva Career Center Coordinator by February 26, 2024.\u00a0 Only ONE final applicant will be submitted to OSIG.\u00a0 Students DO NOT submit any materials to OSIG or the OSIG website<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 All applications must go thru Mrs. Frascht at the Alva Campus or Mrs. Koehn at the Fairview Campus.<\/p>\n
