Test questions are based on situations in the everyday work world.<\/p>\n<p>To find out more about specific careers and their skills requirements, check out the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/jobprofiles.act.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACT\u00a0job\u00a0profiles\u00a0database<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Certificate Levels<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Individuals can earn four levels of certifications by taking the three WorkKeys\u00ae assessments.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bronze Level \u2013 Signifies an individual has scored at least a Level 3 on each of the three assessments and has the necessary skills for 16% of the jobs in the WorkKeys Job Pro database.<\/li>\n<li>Silver Level \u2013 Signifies an individual has scored at least a Level 4 on each of the three assessments and has the necessary skills for 67% of the jobs on the WorkKeys Job Pro database.<\/li>\n<li>Gold Level \u2013 Signifies an individual has scored at least a Level 5 on each of the three assessments and has the necessary skills for 93% of the jobs on the WorkKeys Job Pro database.<\/li>\n<li>Platinum Level \u2013 Signifies an individual has scored at least a Level 6 on each of the three assessments and has the necessary skills for 99% of the jobs on the WorkKeys Job Pro database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Score Comparison Activity<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"\">We will discuss how your scores on the three assessments compare to minimum suggested scores for different occupations.\u00a0 I have put your WorkKeys Score Reports in a Shared Google Drive folder that I created for you.\u00a0 The folder on the Shared Drive has your first and last name and AlvaCC2021.\u00a0 Can you access the Shared Google Drive folder I created?\u00a0 If not ask me for assistance.\u00a0 I have added a file named WorkKeys Completion Assignment to the shared folder I created for you.\u00a0 You will be completing this activity as part of the Virtual Job Shadow Getting Started with Virtual Job Shadow (2021) Assignment.\u00a0 After completing the document later, be sure to print a copy and put in your black binder on the shelves.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>Virtual Job Shadow<\/h3>\n<div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>VirtualJobShadow.com offers engaging career exploration resources and tools all on one user-friendly website.\u00a0<strong>Assessments<\/strong>\u00a0Interest assessments provide the user with more insight into themselves and help to guide the career exploration process. Obtain these results first and then explore the possibilities! Once logged in on VirtualJobShadow.com, users can access\u00a0<strong>Assessments\u00a0<\/strong>under the\u00a0<strong>Tools\u00a0<\/strong>heading, found in the black navigation bar at the top right side of the screen. The\u00a0<strong>Assessments\u00a0<\/strong>section features four assessments designed to help guide career exploration. The three assessment used in Career Center are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Career Clusters Interest Survey (CCIS)\u00a0<\/strong>matches users\u2019 interests to their top career clusters, based on activities they most enjoy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>O*Net Interest Profiler (O*Net IP)\u00a0<\/strong>helps users discover their interests and learn how they relate to future career choices.<\/li>\n<li><strong>O*Net Work Importance Locator (O*Net WIL)\u00a0<\/strong>helps users identify their work values and decide what is important to them in a job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each assessment has detailed instructions and offers the ability to save the user\u2019s progress if they do not finish in one sitting. Once an assessment has been completed and submitted, clicking on the results hyperlink in blue will take the user to the matching careers in\u00a0<strong>Career Central.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Career Central<\/strong>\u00a0Start exploring specific careers by choosing from a range of industries and fields, using the filter tabs or search box to narrow down your career search.\u00a0 Career Central allows users to find an extensive collection of careers and job shadowing videos, which include closed captioning and transcripts in both English and Spanish. Users can begin exploring career profiles, including the\u00a0<strong>Q&amp;A\u00a0<\/strong>segments that accompany the main video. After watching each video, they may also read through the\u00a0<strong>Career Description<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Required Education, Earnings,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Future Outlook\u00a0<\/strong>information on the left-hand side of the profile screen. Users may take\u00a0<strong>Pop Quizzes\u00a0<\/strong>and write\u00a0<strong>Career Journals<\/strong>, which are located just above the video.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Login Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Staff and students of the Northwest Tech Campus \u2013 Alva may access their user accounts at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.virtualjobshadow.com\/login\/AC5760\/users\/?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.virtualjobshadow.com\/login\/AC5760\/users\/?<\/a><\/strong>. Students will use the same username and password as used for WorkKeys assessments. Usernames (except for a few students) will be your FirstnameLastname. Your password will be a six digit number representing your birthdate such as 020503 if you were born on February 5, 2003.
