Safety-sensitive is defined as a job that includes monitoring the performance or operation of equipment where the malfunction could result in property damage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>General Summary: <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">This position monitors and responds to system alarms within the cellular and telephone networks and associated peripheral equipment using the Network Management software. Also investigates and resolves alarms, trouble tickets, and cellular roaming complaints.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>This department is operated 24-hours\/7-day a week. <\/b>This position consists of a 40-hour workweek, which can include weekends, holidays, and the possibility of a shift rotation on occasion as needed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Closing Date: <\/b>Tuesday, April 6, 2021<\/p>\n<p <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Essential Job Functions: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Monitor system alarms within the cellular and telephone networks including peripheral equipment including AAA, SMSC\/MMSC, STP, Calix, Cisco, DTV, iVideo, SSR, VOIP and IP Wireless broadband through the Network Management software.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Responds, investigates, and resolves alarms and trouble tickets on cellular and telephone switches and associated peripheral equipment including T-1 &amp; ETS circuits, power systems and tower light systems.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Records, documents, and provides outage reports as needed to Management.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Assists a wide variety of company technicians with testing and troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Willingly works weekdays and weekends on rotating shifts including swing and midnight shift.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Responds to after hour emergency call outs due to weather or lack of manpower as notified.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">\u2022 Commits to performing job tasks in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p5\">2<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Essential Job Functions: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Provides training and technical support to NOC Technicians.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">\u2022 Restores hardware faults using commands and interprets the output of these commands to resolve alarm issues in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Minimum Qualifications: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li7\">\u2022 High school diploma or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li7\">\u2022 Some knowledge or experience and\/or training in related field.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li7\">\u2022 Must meet, <i>at minimum<\/i>, the attached Certification and Training requirements of the NOC Tech I.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">\u2022 Must maintain a good driving record and a valid driver license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Basic skill in analyzing, logically organizing and interpreting data, identifying problems and finding effective solutions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Basic knowledge of cellular technology.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Knowledge of company products\/services, policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Good listening, verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Proficient in operating a personal computer and software application pertaining to job function.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Skill in prioritizing, completing multiple tasks, identifying problems and finding resolutions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Ability to work independently, analyze technical data and make sound decisions using information at hand.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing technical environment.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li4\">\u2022 Ability to meet to 1 year of experience in related field.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li8\">\u2022 Must acquire DSLAM training.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">\u2022 Must acquire <span class=\"s4\">CompTIA A+ <\/span>and maintain certification until a higher certification is acquired.<span class=\"s5\">1 <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>NOC Technician II: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li7\">\u2022 Minimum two (2) years of experience in related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">\u2022 Must acquire or possess a current <span class=\"s4\">Cisco CCT or CompTIA Network+ <\/span>certification and maintain the certification until a higher certification is acquired.<span class=\"s5\">1 <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>NOC Technician III: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li8\">\u2022 Minimum three (3) years of experience in related field preferred.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li8\">\u2022 Must acquire or possess a current <span class=\"s4\">CWNP-CWTS
