{"id":2224,"date":"2019-09-23T14:27:11","date_gmt":"2019-09-23T19:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nwtech.edu\/alvacc\/?p=2224"},"modified":"2019-11-22T14:28:29","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T20:28:29","slug":"png-gas-tech-9-23-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nwtech.edu\/alvacc\/png-gas-tech-9-23-19\/","title":{"rendered":"PNG Gas Tech ~ 9.23.19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Oklahoma Natural Gas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NOW HIRING!<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re hiring for<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gas Technicians<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Alva,Ok<\/p>\n<p><strong>OVERVIEW:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform work related to customer service field and leak survey activities.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A DAY IN THE LIFE COULD INCLUDE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive and maintain company vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Load, unload, and operate a variety of tools and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Install, remove, and adjust gas meters, regulators, and related equipment<\/li>\n<li>Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and\/or repair leakage survey tools and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Respond to Natural Gas related emergencies<\/li>\n<li>Examine and adjust gas-fired equipment<\/li>\n<li>Complete performance encroachment investigation surveys<\/li>\n<li>Investigate customer related orders and\/or emergency situations<\/li>\n<li>Complete and\/or update reports including but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Gas leaks and work logs<\/li>\n<li>Equipment maintenance reports<\/li>\n<li>Mileage reports<\/li>\n<li>Time sheets<\/li>\n<li>GIS Applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Perform and\/or assist with leakage surveys on pipelines including but not limited to:<\/li>\n<li>Company distribution and transmission lines<\/li>\n<li>Public buildings and private residences<\/li>\n<li>Schools<\/li>\n<li>Highway and railroad crossings<\/li>\n<li>Manholes<\/li>\n<li>Repaired and unrepaired gas leaks<\/li>\n<li>Maintain various records including but not limited to:<\/li>\n<li>Orders completed<\/li>\n<li>Miles driven<\/li>\n<li>Customer information<\/li>\n<li>Leak record information and maintenance work orders<\/li>\n<li>Meter inventory<\/li>\n<li>Leak classifications<\/li>\n<li>Yard line replacements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EXPECTATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain or strengthen working knowledge of disconnects, reconnects, gas piping, and gas fired equipment<\/li>\n<li>Experience in use, function, and maintenance of tools applicable to position<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of use and function of customer service codes and forms<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline system operations<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of leakage survey procedures<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English<\/li>\n<li>Experience and knowledge of basic computer usage and applicable computer software<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, plats, atlas pages, wiring diagrams, pipe sizing tables, flow charts, house numbers, dials, gauges, work logs, service orders, and applicable operation and repair manuals<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge and training relative to:<\/li>\n<li>Company and governmental customer service\/safety procedures<\/li>\n<li>Customer service emergency procedures<\/li>\n<li>Use of electronic communications (cell phones, two-way radios) and PragmaCAD system (where applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Characteristics of natural gas<\/li>\n<li>Basic customer service activities Changing charts<\/li>\n<li>Locating lines<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WHY WORK AT ONE GAS, INC?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are committed to operating safely and in an environmentally responsible manner<\/li>\n<li>We embrace and promote diversity; ever employee makes a difference and contributes to our success<\/li>\n<li>We adhere to the highest ethical standards.
