  1. Computer log ins \u2013 passwords for alvacc users on computers are alvacc and the computer number displayed on bottom left corner of monitor such as alvacc01.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. If prompted, do not run any updates on the computers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Only use Chrome for a browser during Career Center.\u00a0Do not change any settings within Google Chrome.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. You will use Gmail and Google Drive within the browser to login but\u00a0do NOT use the Chrome profile button<\/em>. Confusing I know but there is a difference in what happens to the saved bookmarks.\u00a0Do not log in to any Apple iCloud, Mac Mail or other personalization accounts except Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and Gmail. Everyone uses the same Mac user account so please do not customize the user account to your settings which means do NOT add you Google profile setting.\u00a0\u00a0Do NOT change the Apple ID, Microsoft User or Adobe User account\u00a0 or computer setting<\/em>s. Are you able to log in to the Google Drive folder I created for you?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The Career Center is website \u2013\u00a0www.nwtech.edu\/alvacc\/<\/a>. I will have announcements each week for you to refer to for instructions on the activities and necessary websites.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. WorkKeys testing \u2013\u00a0Students will complete three ACT WorkKeys Career Readiness exams \u2013 Graphic Literacy, Workplace Documents, and Applied Math in the near future. Today I need you to log in and make sure you can get logged in without and issues. You will go to https:\/\/testregistration.org\/rsp\/Login.do?event=go&realm=75579624<\/a> OR click the bookmark for WorkKeys testing in the Google Chrome Browser. Your login username is usually your first and last name all lowercase and not spaces. Your password is the six digit number representing your birthdate such as 010907 for January 9, 2007. I had to use a different format for a few of you. I will have you log in and complete any of the information I did not complete for you on your Profile. Do NOT change any information I entered without visiting with me first.

  7. I have created a resume template for you. I have added the template to the Google Drive folder I shared with you. DO NOT use the Chrome Profile button in the top right corner of Chrome…. Use the Google Drive bookmark at the top of Chrome to log in to your Northwest Tech Google Drive. When prompted, DO NOT create a new profile (bright blue botton)…. continue without a new profile. Go to Shared with Me in the Google Drive. Navigate to or search for the file folder with your first and last name and Alvacc2026 such as Tami Frascht Alvacc2026. Then open the resume template that is a Google Doc. Make any necessary changes. If you get the resume completed before class is over, print a copy and put in the notebook with your name on the shelves.
