Good Afternoon!
I hope you are doing well and that 2022 is off to a great start. My name is Anna Litton, and I work with Pre-College Programs (Concurrent Enrollment,Sooner Discovery, andStart Sooner) at the University of Oklahoma, which allow students to connect with the Universityas early as the summer after their sophomore year of high school. Our office wanted to reconnect regarding information on summer and pre-college programs available to your students at the University of Oklahoma, as well as a scholarship opportunity for our Sooner Discovery program.
If you are no longer the correct contact for or affiliated with your school for this information, please let me know.
As a general overview, I’ve attached an infographic with quick facts about our three offered programs for 2022. I hope this will be of use as a quick reference regarding program dates, application/registration details, and more. Please feel free to share this infographic with students and families.
Similarlyto the fall semester, our office will be hosting spring webinars and one-on-one meetings with more information on the Concurrent Enrollment, Sooner Discovery, and Start Sooner programs.
Spring webinars will be held at on February 9, March 10, April 6, and May 5 and students can sign up for the first webinarhere.
If interested, I would also love to schedule a time for our team to visit your school – virtually or in person – and spend time speaking with your students or yourself about our programs. However, if you do not have time or space for a visit, I am able to send an email that can be forwarded to parents and students.
Finally, please keep in mind that students accepted to theSooner Discoveryprogram are eligible to receive up to two scholarships. Oklahoma high school counselors have the power to selectonestudent from their high school to receive a $500 scholarship for program attendance. Counselors may nominate a studenthere.
