The City of Alva is currently seeking to fill the position of Full and Part Time Emergency Medical Technician/Ambulance Attendant.

Job Duties: The job duties include but are not limited to the following: performs medical duties such as patient assessment, maintains minimum level of licensure as described by mandated training requirements, performs routine maintenance on ambulance service units, equipment and facilities, drives assigned unit to emergencies, relays and received radio messages to and from central dispatch, completes necessary reports, forms and other required documentation, may be required to work weekends, nights and holidays.

Qualifications: The successful applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years related work experience.  Must successfully complete the standard U.S. Department of Transportation Basic Emergency Medical Technician training curriculum; must have a valid Emergency Medical Technician-Basic license issued from the Oklahoma State Dept. of Health as well as a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
