Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation Scholarships
Deadline: March 10, 2021
The scholarships are available for current college students at an Oklahoma college or university with definite plans to continue in the fall or graduating high school seniors who have an interest in the beef cattle industry. Students fill out one (1) application to apply for multiple scholarships. Scholarships will be presented at the 69th Annual OCA Convention & Trade Show, July 23-24, 2021. Ranch Rodeo Scholarships will be presented at the 37th Annual OCA Ranch Rodeo, August 20-21, 2021.

Oklahoma Hall of Fame Oklahoma Scholarship Competition
Deadline: February 26, 2021
Through the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Oklahoma Scholarship Competition, students in grades 9-12 test their knowledge on Oklahoma history, geography, and its people. Students compete for scholarships in the county in which they attend school. Those with high scores in each county receive a minimum of a $1,000 cash scholarship or tuition grant to an Oklahoma college or university. Each of Oklahoma’s 77 counties has at least ten scholarships available. Scholarships are made possible through generous donations by individuals, corporations, and Oklahoma colleges and universities.

Project Yellow Light – Hunter Garner Scholarship
Deadline: March 1, 2021
Project Yellow Light is a scholarship competition designed to bring about change. As an applicant you have one clear mission: encourage your peers to develop and embrace safe driving habits. The competition has three separate competitions: video, billboard, and radio. Applicants must create a video, billboard design or radio spot created to motivate, persuade and encourage their peers to not drive distracted. You have a unique opportunity to play a key role in spreading this important message. You can speak to your peers on this subject in a way that adults cannot. The more lives you can impact, the more lives you can save. For both the high school and college categories of the billboard competition, the winner will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,000. For the high school and college categories of the video competition, the winner will receive a scholarship in the amount of $8,000. For the high school and college categories of the radio competition, the winner will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Billboard designs are due March 1. Submissions for the video and radio competitions are due April 1.

VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest

Each year, more than 4,000 high school students from across the country participate in the VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest. The contest began in 1979 to recognize up-and-coming artists and encourage patriotism in youth. This scholarship is open to any student in grades 9-12 who is enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States. The first-place winner from each state competes for national awards totaling $31,000.

OU/Thunder Scholarship

Entrants must be Oklahoma state residents and high school seniors who will graduate during the 2020-2021 academic year. Entrants must apply for acceptance to the University of Oklahoma as a first-time freshman in the fall of 2021 as a full-time student. Entrants must be able to attend a select Oklahoma City Thunder home game to be eligible.The OU/Thunder Scholarship Committee will select five (5) scholarship recipients. Each recipient will receive two (2) Oklahoma City Thunder tickets and a $1,000 scholarship to The University of Oklahoma.

OSU-Oklahoma City President’s Leadership Scholarship

The President’s Leadership Scholarship at OSU-OKC recognizes outstanding students who have demonstrated talent and distinguished achievement in the areas of leadership, citizenship, service and communication. The scholarship is comprised of a full-tuition waiver for up to 15 credit hours each fall and spring semester, including fees and a $500 book stipend. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Current college students should be enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours each semester. Be actively involved in school clubs, organizations and/or activities (current college students must be active in two campus organizations).

American Indian College Fund

The American Indian College Fund (AICF) was established in 1989 to provide scholarships to American Indian/Alaska Native students attending tribal colleges. The AICF is devoted to funding and creating awareness about the community-based accredited tribal colleges and universities that offer students access to knowledge and skills alongside Native culture, language, and values. The American Indian College Fund also provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending any other accredited public or non-profit private college all across the United States.

Oklahoma Energy Rescources Board (OERB) awards up to $500,000 to students majoring in petroleum-related fields. Maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4-point scale) and be enrolled full-time in one of the following undergraduate petroleum-related programs: Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience or Energy Management at University of Oklahoma (OU), Oklahoma State University (OSU) or Univerity of Tulsa (TU); or Petroleum Land Management at Oklahoma City University (OCU).

SEG Scholarships

The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) scholarships encourage the study of geophysics and related geosciences. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the SEG offers a range of different scholarship opportunities. Funds provided may be applied to tuition, books, and fees. Scholarships range from $500 to $10,000 per academic year. Average awards are approximately $3,700. AFSA High School Senior College Scholarship Contest

This scholarship is open to 2020-2021 high school seniors who want to pursue a college degree or trade school education. Home schooled students may apply as long as their course of study is equivalent to that of a senior in high school. Students may enter for the chance to win one of 10 $2,000 college scholarships. The American Fire Sprinkler Association created the college scholarship program to help with the educational and training pursuits of students just like you. In addition, AFSA wants to educate the public at-large about the life-saving properties of automatic fire sprinklers. American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) National High School Essay Contest

The United States has many tools to advance and defend its foreign policy and national security interests around the world-from diplomatic approaches pursued by members of the Foreign Service, to the range of options available to the U.S. military. In countries affected by or vulnerable to violent conflict, peacebuilding tools are important additions to the national security toolkit. In a 1,000-1,250-word essay, identify how members of the Foreign Service work with other civilian parts of the U.S. Government to promote peace, national security and economic prosperity. Your essay should focus on a specific challenge to U.S. peace and prosperity, and must include one example of the work of the Foreign Service and one or more examples of collaboration between America’s diplomats and other civilian (i.e. non-military) U.S. Government agencies or organizations.Students whose parents are not in the Foreign Service are eligible to participate if they are in grades nine through twelve in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. territories, or if they are U.S. citizens attending high school overseas. Students may be attending a public, private, or parochial school. Entries from home-schooled students are also accepted. Diabetes Scholars Foundation

The Diabetes Scholars Foundation’s college scholarship program is available to incoming freshmen with Type 1 diabetes who are US citizens or permanent residents seeking a higher education at an accredited four-year university, college, technical, or trade school. This scholarship recognizes students who have high academic performance, are actively involved in the diabetes community, participate in community and/or extra-curricular activities and who have demonstrated that they are successfully managing the challenges of living with diabetes. Diabetes Scholars Foundation scholarships are not based on financial need. Students complete one application to be considered for over 40 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 each.

E-waste Scholarship
Deadline: April 30, 2021
This scholarship winner will receive a $1,000 award. The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand the impact of e-waste and what can be done to reduce e-waste. You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Complete the application form including a 140-character message about e-waste. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists. The finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about e-waste.
