Scholarships
I will periodically post scholarship information given to me. You may view the scholarship information on the Career Center website (www.nwtech.edu/alvacc) by selecting Announcements on the menu then in the Categories box at the right of the page selecting the Scholarships box. It may take a few seconds to load. You will have to click on the heading for each individual post to view all the information regarding a scholarship posted.
Today…
Students should have completed and printed a resume, cover letter, envelope, job application (except afternoon students who will be starting the job application assignments). If you need assistance with the resume or cover letter, you will need to refer back to an older announcement – http://nwtech.edu/alvacc/electrical-trades-12-10-21/
If you are starting the job application assignment today, be sure to ask me for help with downloading and saving to the correct location before you start entering information.
If you will be starting the Virtual Job Shadow 16 Personalities.com. Be sure to send your results to your email so we can refer back to the results later!!
8:10 – 8:55 am – Dayson and Caleb need to complete the VJS Job Application assignment (already printed application just need to do VJS part) before starting the 16Personalities.com assignment. Adrian, Sebastion, Kabir, Jace, Keaton, and Lakin need to start the VJS 16 Personalities.com assignment.
9:00 – 9:45 am – No students need to attend. Bryce, Bronc, Drake, Chris, Sylus, Dustin, and Logan completed the 16Personalities.com assignment last year.
12:40 – 1:25 pm – Tyler and Aiden do not need to attend. They completed the 16Personalities.com assignment last year. Braxton, Ethan H., Abram, and Tydus need to complete the job application assignments before starting the 16Personalities.com work. Ethan R. needs to complete the resume, cover letter and envelope, and job application work before moving to the 16Personalities.com assignment.

Staff and students of the Northwest Tech Campus – Alva may access their user accounts at https://www.virtualjobshadow.com/login/AC5760/users/?. Students will use the same username and password as used for WorkKeys assessments. Usernames (except for a few students) will be your FirstnameLastname. Your password will be a six digit number representing your birthdate such as 020503 if you were born on February 5, 2003. If you need assistance with your username and password, please let Mrs. Frascht know. Usernames and passwords should be recorded in the Passwords Google Sheet I have provided in the Google Drive folder I have Shared with you for the Career Center.
Complete the Job Application Assignment in VirtualJobShadow.com.
- Download the job application and save the file to your folder on the desktop – ASK MRS. FRASCHT FOR HELP! This step is critical in order for your application to be able to be located and edited in the future!
- Enter your information into the job application using Adobe Acrobat – ask your instructor for help if needed. Do NOT complete the information within a browser window. Do Not put your real social security or driver’s license numbers.
- Print a copy of your completed job application and place it in your black binder.
- Upload a copy of your completed job application to the Shared Folder I created for you in Google Drive.
- Complete and print the Complete a Job Application Assignment on VirtualJobShadow.com.
