Workplace Ethics

What does ethics in the workplace mean?  What situations would this involve?

Workplace ethics are the set of values, moral principles, and standards that need to be followed by both employers and employees in the workplace.

Some questions to think about determining your actions or observing actions of others:

  • Will someone get hurt physically, emotionally, mentally?
  • Will this cost someone unnecessary money?
  • Is this illegal?
  • How will this effect others?
  • Is this against company policy?
