The NWTC Foundation Scholarships for the Fall Semester are due Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Some expenses that may be included in the calculation of need includes:

  • Tuition – NWTC Tuition for in-district adults is $2 per hour and $4 per hour for out-of-district adults.  There are 85 days in the Fall 2022 semester.  An all day adult student who lives in-district will attend 85 days at 6 hours per day which equals 510 hours times $2 in-district tuition which equals tuition cost of $1,020 for tuition cost for Fall 2022. Half day adults only attend 3 hours per day which would be 255 hours times $2 per hour which equals $510 tuition cost for the Fall 2022 for in-district students.
  • Fees – NWTC Fees are approximately $0.50 per hour of instruction. For the Fall 2022 semester, there are 85 days times 6 for all day or 3 for half day times $0.50 to get the cost of fees.
  • Mileage – The current standard mileage reimbursement rate is $0.625 per mile. To calculate the expected mileage cost for the Fall 2022 semester, take the total number of miles from your house to NWTC (1801 11th Street, Alva) and multiple times 2 for both to and from school and multiply by $0.625 times 85 days (number of days in Fall semester).
  • Industry certifications and licenses may be additional costs. Your instructor can tell you if you will have additional costs for certifications and licenses this semester.
  • Clothings, tools, etc. – If you have to purchase certain clothing, shoes, tools, etc for your program you may submit that cost; however, be sure you can include a receipt with the exact cost required for your program.
