Just a reminder…..Google Profile vs Google Drive
Just a reminder…. do NOT log in with Google Profile…. go to gmail.com or drive.google.com to log in please. If you log in to Google Profile there is a big chance it will mess up all bookmarks I have made available for students.
Scholarships
I will periodically post scholarship information given to me. You may view the scholarship information on the Career Center website (www.nwtech.edu/alvacc) by selecting Announcements on the menu then in the Categories box at the right of the page selecting the Scholarships box. It may take a few seconds to load. You will have to click on the heading for each individual post to view all the information regarding a scholarship posted.
Today…
Students should have completed and printed a resume, cover letter, and envelope, job application assignments. If you need assistance with the resume or cover letter, you will need to refer back to an older announcement http://nwtech.edu/alvacc/auto-tech-12-10-21/. If you need information regarding the job application work or the 16Personalities.com assignment, check the http://nwtech.edu/alvacc/auto-tech-1-28-22/ announcement. I realize the afternoon students have a much shorter time period for Career Center but I still want you to complete many activities. Thank you for staying on task so we can accomplish as much as possible during the short time period. If you have completed all the above work, you will need to complete the Virtual Job Shadow Interviewing Tips and Tricks assignment which includes answering questions a Google Doc I added the folder I shared with you on Google Drive. Please ask for assistance if you cannot find the Interview Questions in that folder.

- Download the job application and save the file to your folder on the desktop – ASK MRS. FRASCHT FOR HELP! This step is critical in order for your application to be able to be located and edited in the future!
- Enter your information into the job application using Adobe Acrobat – ask your instructor for help if needed. Do NOT complete the information within a browser window. Do Not put your real social security or driver’s license numbers.
- Print a copy of your completed job application and place it in your black binder.
- Upload a copy of your completed job application to the Shared Folder I created for you in Google Drive.
