Scholarships
I will periodically post scholarship information given to me. You may view the scholarship information on the Career Center website (www.nwtech.edu/alvacc) by selecting Announcements on the menu then in the Categories box at the right of the page selecting the Scholarships box. It may take a few seconds to load. You will have to click on the heading for each individual post to view all the information regarding a scholarship posted.
Today…
Students should have completed and printed a resume, cover letter, and envelope. Some have started the job application assignments. If you need assistance with the resume or cover letter, you will need to refer back to an older announcement http://nwtech.edu/alvacc/auto-tech-12-10-21/. If you have completed all the previously assigned with along with the job application work, you are ready to start on the 16Personalities.com assignment. I realize the afternoon students have a much shorter time period for Career Center but I still want you to complete many activities. Thank you for staying on task so we can accomplish as much as possible during the short time period.
If you are starting the job application assignment today, be sure to ask me for help with downloading and saving to the correct location before you start entering information.
If you will be starting the Virtual Job Shadow 16 Personalities.com. Be sure to send your results to your email so we can refer back to the results later!!
9:00 – 9:45 am – Andrew does not need to attend. All assigned work is completed.
10:00 – 10:45 am – Justin needs to complete the 16Personalities.com assignments. Cristian needs to complete the VJS Cover letters assignment, VJS Job application assignment and the job application before continuing to the 16Personalities assignment. Kade needs to complete the VJS Cover letters assignment, cover letter, envelope, VJS Job application assignment and the job application before continuing to the 16Personalities assignment. Wyatt needs to complete the VJS Cover letters assignment, VJS Job application assignment and the job application before continuing to the 16Personalities assignment. Levi needs to complete the VJS Cover letters assignment, cover letter, envelope, and the VJS Job application assignment before continuing to the 16Personalities assignment. Rustin, Taylor, Duke, and Bryanna do not need to attend.
2:30 – 2:55 pm – Arek, Seth, Jacob, Dalon, and Evan do not need to attend. Chandler, Bradon, Nicolas, Kaleb, Nathan, Max, Colby, and Aiden need to complete their resume and VJS Resume assignment before continuing to the cover letter. Josh has corrections to be made to the cover letter, needs to create an envelope, and complete and print the job application. Jeremy needs to complete the 16Personalities.com assignmnet.

Staff and students of the Northwest Tech Campus – Alva may access their user accounts at https://www.virtualjobshadow.com/login/AC5760/users/?. Students will use the same username and password as used for WorkKeys assessments. Usernames (except for a few students) will be your FirstnameLastname. Your password will be a six digit number representing your birthdate such as 020503 if you were born on February 5, 2003. If you need assistance with your username and password, please let Mrs. Frascht know. Usernames and passwords should be recorded in the Passwords Google Sheet I have provided in the Google Drive folder I have Shared with you for the Career Center.

- Download the job application and save the file to your folder on the desktop – ASK MRS. FRASCHT FOR HELP! This step is critical in order for your application to be able to be located and edited in the future!
- Enter your information into the job application using Adobe Acrobat – ask your instructor for help if needed. Do NOT complete the information within a browser window. Do Not put your real social security or driver’s license numbers.
- Print a copy of your completed job application and place it in your black binder.
- Upload a copy of your completed job application to the Shared Folder I created for you in Google Drive.
- Complete and print the Complete a Job Application Assignment on VirtualJobShadow.com.
