Scholarships
I will periodically post scholarship information given to me. You may view the scholarship information on the Career Center website (www.nwtech.edu/alvacc) by selecting Announcements on the menu then in the Categories box at the right of the page selecting the Scholarships box. It may take a few seconds to load. You will have to click on the heading for each individual post to view all the information regarding a scholarship posted.
Where are we…
Students should have completed and printed a resume, cover letter and an envelope. If you have not completed these activities – please refer back to the http://nwtech.edu/alvacc/health-careers-1-04-22/ announcement. After you complete the cover letter and envelope, you will complete on the Virtual Job Shadow Job Application Assignment. Please ask me for help when downloading and saving the job application.
If you have the resume, cover letter, envelope, and job applications assignments completed… you are ready to complete the 16Personalities.com assignment in Virtual Job Shadow. It is VERY important that once you get your 16Personalities.com results you immediately have them sent to your email address so we can refer back to them! If you don’t do this step you may have to repeat the assessment.
Who needs to start on what today?
9:15 – 10:00 am group – Sammy, Emma, and Kaitlynn do not need to attend. Kate, Jarin, and Elaina need to complete the 16Personalities assignment in VJS. Randlyne needs to attend if she is still in Health Careers. Kinsey and Makayla need to start on the Job Application assignments before moving on to the 16Personalities.com assignment. Gracee and Brooklyn need to complete their resumes before moving to cover letters.
12:45 – 1:30 pm group – Korey is ready to start on the Job Application assignments. Gabriella needs to print an envelope then start on Job application assignment. Bethany and Hayley need to work on cover letters and envelopes before moving to job application. Nevaeh and Michelle need to complete their resumes before moving to the cover letter and envelope.

Staff and students of the Northwest Tech Campus – Alva may access their user accounts at https://www.virtualjobshadow.com/login/AC5760/users/?. Students will use the same username and password as used for WorkKeys assessments. Usernames (except for a few students) will be your FirstnameLastname. Your password will be a six digit number representing your birthdate such as 020503 if you were born on February 5, 2003. If you need assistance with your username and password, please let Mrs. Frascht know. Usernames and passwords should be recorded in the Passwords Google Sheet I have provided in the Google Drive folder I have Shared with you for the Career Center.
Complete the Job Application Assignment in VirtualJobShadow.com.
- Download the job application and save the file to your folder on the desktop – ASK MRS. FRASCHT FOR HELP! This step is critical in order for your application to be able to be located and edited in the future!
- Enter your information into the job application using Adobe Acrobat – ask your instructor for help if needed. Do NOT complete the information within a browser window. Do Not put your real social security or driver’s license numbers.
- Print a copy of your completed job application and place it in your black binder.
- Upload a copy of your completed job application to the Shared Folder I created for you in Google Drive.
- Complete and print the Complete a Job Application Assignment on VirtualJobShadow.com.
